History of St. Bridget Church
St. Bridget Church of Manchester, Connecticut, was the first Roman Catholic parish in town; its history begins with the informal establishment of the parish in 1848, and with the building of the first mission church in 1858. It became an independent parish in 1869 and moved to the present building in 1896.

History of St. Bridget Societies
Societies are often the backbone of a church. A pastor many times looks to them for financial and moral support, knowing he can depend upon both from the fine people who belong to these organizations. This is a tribute to all those who have served in the past, and all those who presently belong to our societies and organizations; a special, "Thank you. Well done, good and faithful servants!"
